Chronic urogenital infections are directly caused by various sexual dysfunctions
In contrast with what happens with other systems in our organism that communicate with the outside, we don´t find any microbes in the urinary system. Normally we can find microbes inside the intestine and the vagina (in the flora) that don´t represent any threat or induce any kinds of infection, however, if they are present in other environments like the urinary, then the scenario can really change.
Urinary infections are characterized by an invasion and multiplication of bacteria in the urine of the urinary system, followed by a respective inflammation in the bladder and/or the kidneys. The most frequent bacteria causing infections inside the urinary system are Escherichiae coli (Colibacilo), Klebsielae and the Proteus. All of them are components of the intestinal flora and are commonly find inside the vaginal environment.
Nonspecific renal, urinary and genital infections are the most frequent diagnosed type of infections, following the upper respiratory tract infections.
Urologic Inflammatory infections represent 80% of the cases of autonomous nosological profile (pyelonephritis, urethritis, cystitis, prostatitis, epididymo-orchitis, epididymitis), secondary diseases and post-operatory complications. Conventional therapies used in the treatment of renal, urinary and genital infections do not always present satisfactory results. This outcome is due to insufficient efficacy of antibacterial pharmaceutical drugs which is caused by numerous factors:
- Edemas in the injured organ;
- Significant inhibition of microcirculation surrounding the infection’s core;
- Existence of barriers;
- The function of the inflicted organs is weakened;
Nowadays, new therapies are being followed particularly the ones that fit within the results showed by the most recent technological research. Low-level laser therapy is one of the most used methods within urologic practice, one that truly opens new possibilities and perspectives in the treatment of renal, urinary and genital diseases.
Traditional therapies used in the treatment of renal, urinary and genital infections in men do not always present satisfactory results. In these cases, the use of low frequency laser therapy can bring them significant benefits.
